The Holy Scriptures
We
believe that the Bible is the only inspired Word of God: it is entirely
absolute, steadfast, and unchangeable truth, clearly understood through careful study and the illumination of the Holy Spirit.
John 17:17; 2 Timothy
3:16-17
The Triune God
We
 believe that God is one in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit;
these three are coexistent, coeternal, and coequal in divine perfection.
Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14
The Fall of Man
We
believe that man, created in the image of God, by voluntary
disobedience, fell into sin and depravity, passing on sin's nature and
its lethal consequences to all mankind, thereby turning mankind away
from their true purpose and joy.
Genesis 1:27; Romans 5:12
The Plan of Redemption
We
believe that while we were still sinners, the perfect Son of God took
our place, bore our sin in human flesh, and died for us - once for all.
By his willing and priceless death, he purchased forgiveness for all who
believe in Him and what he has done.
John 3:16; Titus 2:14; 1 Peter
3:24
Salvation by Grace
We
believe that salvation is solely by God's grace. No human
righteousness, merit or action can contribute to our acceptance of God's
 love and favor.
Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:24
Acceptance by Repentance and Faith
We
believe that upon the act of sincerely repenting over sinfulness and
wholehearted dependence on Christ, we are declared by God eternally
acceptable through Christ's sacrificial death.
Romans 10:6-13; 1 John
1:9
The New Birth
We
believe that the change that takes place the moment of faith is a very
real one; that being united in Christ's death and life and being indwelt
by the Holy Spirit makes a real difference in life - one is given a new
heart, filled with new desires, interests and pursuits.
Romans 6:4-8; 1
 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20
The Christian Life
We
believe the will of God at work by the power of the Holy Spirit in
those who have been born again is to bear the fruit of righteousness and
holiness, and to daily grow stronger in the faith, prayer, love, and
service.
2 Corinthians 7:1; Galatians 5:16, 22-24
Baptism and Communion
We
believe that immersion in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of
the Holy Spirit is an essential part of God's command to share the
gospel and make disciples, testifying the sincerity of an individual who
has been made spiritually one with Christ - buried with him in baptism,
raised again to walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:1-5
We believe that
in observing the Lord's Supper we proclaim the Lord's death til he comes
again, giving a visual presentation of the gospel; we are partakers in
the once-for-all perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians
11:24-26
The End Times
We
believe that Christ's second coming to earth is eminent: 1) All
believers, both living and dead, will be caught up out of this world to
meet Christ; 2) the seven warning years of Tribulation will come; 3)
Christ will physically return to the earth in glory with his angels and
his saints; 4) Christ will physically rule for a thousand years upon the
earth; 5) After Satan's rebellion is crushed and he is thrown forever
into the lake of fire, Death, Hades, and every individual who did not
trust in Jesus Christ will follow after him into the everlasting fire,
the second death; 6) God will create a new heaven and a new earth, in
which righteousness dwells
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Revelation
The Church
We
believe the local church is to be an assembly of called ones, purchased
by God with His own blood and divinely called together for the purpose
of glorifying and worshiping God. This purpose is achieved through
songs of praise, obedience to God's Word, and encouraging one another to
engage in love and good works until Christ returns. Through their love,
good works, and the proclamation of the gospel, others will come to
know Christ and glorify God together with the local assembly.
Colossians 3:16-17; Ephesians 5:18-21; Hebrews 10:24-25
