Children

In that same hour Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will."

- Luke 10:21

  • Junior Church

Junior church is available for children ages 3-7 during the morning service. It is designed to help children learn about Jesus Christ and biblical truths through Bible lessons, Bible memorization, and hands on applications through crafts and songs.

  • AWANA Clubs

AWANA clubs meet Thursday nights during the school year from 6:30-8pm. Clubs are divided into appropriate grades: Puggles (ages 2-3); Cubbies (pre-school) Sparks (grade K-2nd); and Truth N Training (grade 3-6).

Teens grades 7-8 are part of the Awana's Trek program through which they grow in their leadership skills by being teen helpers and also growing in their knowledge of God by learning answers to three important life questions:
        Who am I?
        Why am I here?
        Who’s with me?

AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.  The goal of AWANA is to teach girls and boys about Jesus Christ and the truths of Scripture. Ultimately AWANA’s aim is to help children memorize Scripture and build them up, so they “are not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes” (Romans 1:!6). The AWANA theme verse is 2 Timothy 2:15, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Ready for some TIME TRAVEL? Join us for Answer in Genesis' VBS!

    Here's where we'll travel. . .

      • Creation: Did you know the Son of God has always existed? We’ll talk about his existence before time and his activity at Creation.
      • Christophany:  . . . study the biblical accounts of Abraham and Moses that show appearances of the Son of God to people before he came to earth.
      • Cross: Here’s when Jesus is actually given the name “Jesus.” And here’s where he lives, dies, and comes back to life. It’s the most epic historical account ever!
      • Clouds: After Jesus rose again, where did he go? He’s actively working on our behalf as he sits at the right hand of God the Father, interceding for us, protecting his Church, and preparing a place for his children! Wow!
      • Crown: We’ll end our tour through time at the new heaven and new earth, where Jesus and his children will live together in the most amazing place forever.

And of course, we'll also enjoy games, music and crafts throughout evening - all designed to point us back to the lesson of the day.

We hope you'll join us as we travel through time!
